Water injection.
We've seen this before, but it always mentioned adding the mixture *before* intake. All the engines I know that had this feature as standard received it directly into the cylinders. (Aircraft engines 2WK, later versions of the Me 109 – WAR EMERGENCY POWER output approximately +20%).
Instead of glow plugs, it might be possible to screw in fuel injectors in a TDI engine.
Then inject water/methanol. This will increase power while lowering exhaust gas temperature.
Where can one obtain nozzles that can withstand the compression pressure in a diesel engine?
The injection pressure doesn't necessarily have to be very high, as long as the material reaches the cylinders. Is there anyone who builds something like this?

Hello,
I have been working in the aviation industry for decades, and I'm not very knowledgeable about...
experienced in the history - all aircraft engines with W or W/M configuration.
Fuel injection systems were used in gasoline engines. This W or W/M fuel injection system was discontinued.
It has a significant impact on lifespan!

Hello Jürgen,
You are absolutely right; they were gasoline engines, and the issue was their lifespan. The latter was partly because the engines were already running at their absolute limit.
A motor lifespan of 25 hours (even without water/methanol mixture) was acceptable, given a maximum survival rate of 6 uses. The material technology wasn't very advanced back then.
The principle of increasing the cylinder's internal pressure during the power stroke while simultaneously reducing the temperature also works in diesel engines. The question is: has anyone ever tried this with a TDI engine?

Hi fellow professionals!
I'm currently testing this with water and alcohol in my 1Z TDI!
Let's say 100/0, then 70/30, then 50/50, and so on...
I'm already at 300 ml/min!
It's injected directly in front of the ASK (Anterior Scalp Hairline).
It's not really working well so far!
I'll get back to you...
Tim Taylor.
