A6 V6 TDI (AKN) Engine Failure?

...and then, after 20 minutes, it only starts again with great difficulty!

I'm having the same problem again: my A6 suddenly stalled while exiting the highway after about 30 km at around 180 km/h. It took about 20 minutes before it started again after a lot of struggling. I checked the engine cover and didn't see any air in the fuel line. What could be the cause? The error memory is empty.

I remember Michael II posting something relevant once. Similar symptoms were also found in the AFB summary. I would start by checking the voltage supply relay of the control unit for any errors. Other potential causes include the diesel filter or, possibly, air in the diesel supply line (but be very careful when working on the diesel system, as the VP44 pump can be damaged if it runs dry).
