Which engine oil for WIV?

New A6 2.5 TDI, 155 hp.

A few questions for the experts:

What brand and type of engine oil should I use in order to be able to use the WIV (Warm-up Interval)?

Is there anything wrong with skipping the inspections after the warranty period (2 years) and doing the oil changes yourself? Is there a service plan for the A6 that specifies what parts need to be proactively replaced after a certain mileage? Is there anything wrong with using a service interval resetter?

Having inspections done can't hurt, especially within the first 3 years and 100,000 km. Until then, Audi covers a relatively high portion of the costs for damages as a gesture of goodwill.
