Hello,
I was just wondering if you could answer a question out of curiosity.
What type of engine oil do you use?
What oil change interval do you follow?
I use regular 15W40 oil.
Oil change every 20,000 km (or miles).
My car: Volkswagen Golf III TDI, 90 horsepower, manufactured in 1994.
Thank you.
Sincerely,

For ages 10-40.
Now with a viscosity of 0-40. However, I'm worried that the oil might be too thin, especially considering potential contamination (soot).
Beim nächsten Wechsel will ich 10-60 nehmen. On recommendation.
It costs the same amount, but has more headroom/capacity.
Best regards, Alex.

Hi, I drive a Golf IV TDI PD with a chip tuning modification and use 5W-40 PD oil that meets Volkswagen specifications from either Valvoline or Liqui Moly.

I use Mobil 5W40 engine oil. It's a special diesel-specific oil.
Be careful when switching to a higher quality oil!
The new oil will pick up the contaminants that have accumulated in the old oil. This dirt would simply remain settled if you continued using the same oil. Therefore, it's essential to perform at least one engine flush beforehand. That's also why it's generally best to stick with a particular type of oil.
I also have 15W40, by the way. It's in my lawnmower.

Hi!
I drive a Volkswagen Golf III with engine code 1Z, and it currently has 201,000 kilometers on the odometer.
Since the first day, I've only used Veedol 15W-40 oil. For top-ups, I've been using Castrol GTD 10W-40 so far.
I am satisfied!
