My supplier only had the cheap Bosch mass airflow sensors, and they had a lot of them! But unfortunately, they have a different connector than the Pierburg mass airflow sensor.
I'm not ready to give up on my project yet, even though it's not going as well as I'd hoped! If things don't work out with the diode at the inspection, then I might have to scrap it.
You're right, with the aging LMM, the Russian border starts to appear earlier, I hadn't thought of that.
Otherwise, the motor runs really well with the diode.
Hello everyone.
@ferdi
Which diode did you use there?
and between which contacts did you plug it?
@martin
Do you still have any problems with your 1Z using the diode trick?
Did you get your AGV helmet? Is the inner padding in place?
because then I could also buy myself the new LLM.
and I'd rather buy a new solenoid valve for 30 euros from my trusted supplier.
Thank you in advance.
Chris from Stuttgart.
I read somewhere that the mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) only costs 90 euros at the dealership.
I will buy it again. Best regards, Chris from Stuttgart.
So... I have another case within reach (also, I probably wasn't fully awake earlier)...
You need the part with the pink connectors (3A0 973 813 - like on the MAF sensor) and a single-wire connector 000 979 132 or 000 979 132 A (gold-plated connectors).
Are these the pins for housing 3A0 973 813, correct?
Do you have any idea which connectors fit into housing 3A0 973 713 (the standard connector for the Pierburg MAF sensor)?
<Edit>
Here's a possible translation:
'Just as a note, here's what I'm roughly planning. For normal operation, I'll simulate a defective EGR valve and use a diode instead of the mass airflow sensor (MAF). For the emissions test (AU), a MAF sensor simulator would be useful, so I'm looking for connectors and housings for the cable side and the MAF sensor.'
