Hello fellow sufferers.
I would like to reiterate the issue that has been mentioned by everyone.
Power loss coming:
As mentioned and discussed in detail in my previous posts, there is still a performance issue.
Currently, I am testing driving with a deactivated EGR system, specifically:
with the plug completely 'pulled out'!
Performance: Car (Passat Variant, PD 85KW, AJM) - consistent and smooth acceleration throughout the rev range.
Definitely, unless I'm driving on the highway: around 6 liters, when driven quickly.
=> which also suggests that LLMs are acceptable.
However, at various times, the car feels 'less engaging' or 'less exciting' in some way.
This aspect makes me think again that perhaps many people are actually experiencing the same problem.
1) Some kind of sensor that measures temperatures, possibly to regulate fuel injection.
Believe it or not, the mechanics in the workshop can't even give me the exact part numbers. I always get the information that the car has countless sensors.
Are there really that many of them? Or what else could be considered?
2. When I recently took my car for its technical inspection (TÜV), and I asked if everything was okay,
I received some information that might be interesting, but I'm not sure how to use it.
The apparently quite competent (around 30 years old) inspector told me that my crankshaft ventilation system was inadequate as he pulled out the dipstick.
Could this potentially incur a cost?
Is it possible to fix this yourself, or how complicated is it?
Maybe you could chime in with your thoughts.
By the way: Since I completely disconnected the EGR valve, I've actually started being able to accelerate normally at intersections!
Greetings
Thorsten.
