'Does anyone know if there are stainless steel fuel lines available as a replacement for the standard fuel lines? Mine broke for the seventh time (!) in just 3 months.'
The cable definitely didn't make any buzzing, crackling, or hissing noises, nor did it seem to be under pressure.
When it comes to replacing rubber hoses with stainless steel braided ones, all the problems disappear.

Hi,
What was the outcome of your last swap event (e.g., exchanging claws, screws, etc.)?
Is the nozzle still wobbling?
That's where I would start. While I'm always open to being proven wrong, I can't imagine that stainless steel braided hose is suitable for this application. Gruß Christian

Absolutely agree... As far as I know, the elastic "bulges" in the lines under pressure also play a significant role when calibrating the injection systems.
With different wiring, the corresponding part of the overall system would be completely ruined... although I have no idea how that would manifest itself in detail. Gruß Ulf

When it comes to hoses, especially those made of braided material like | stainless steel flex, all the problems are solved.
I would also focus on fixing the underlying cause of the breakage.
Because this doesn't happen constantly with hundreds of thousands of vehicles.
When things get really tough, even the cylinder head might need to be replaced.
Good luck. } B.Eng (FH) u. KFZ Meister

Does anyone know if there are stainless steel flex lines for underwater use, as opposed to the standard injection lines?
no.
'Firstly, flexible pipes can only withstand 900 bar with considerable difficulty, and secondly, precisely cut pipe sections still have their purpose. Keywords: expansion under pressure, wave propagation time.'
Yesterday was my seventh broken bone in 3 months.
I would definitely start looking for the cause as quickly as possible.
Fuel injection lines don't just break easily. We haven't needed to replace even five of them.
Common causes of fractures: -
- damage during assembly (e.g., scratches...)
- The wire is under tension.
- The cable was bent (minor corrections are not a problem).
- Cavitation caused by defects in the pump or nozzle (e.g., a faulty throttle/relief valve).
- vibration caused by a loose pump or injector nozzle
In your original post, you write:
But: nozzle number 3 is vibrating in the cylinder head! We've already tried replacing the copper ring; there's no improvement, the nozzle continues to vibrate!
So, what's the status now? Is it resolved? Or not?
and then:
110 hp AFN engine code, chip tuning by *** Tuning to 142 hp .
I would first disable the tuning, and then maybe your limp mode problem will resolve itself.
When it comes to replacing rubber hoses with braided stainless steel ones, all the problems disappear.
Perhaps the problem, but not the cause...

Thank you for your answers in advance.
The injector is now securely seated in the cylinder head again, ever since I replaced the retaining clip and other components.
'Schauche' instead of wires is not a solution to the problem, okay, I understand.'
'I'm also experiencing another issue: the engine sometimes stalls unexpectedly. It could be a faulty shut-off valve in the EGR system, or perhaps the ignition coil is failing and triggering the emergency running mode. I'm taking the car to a diagnostic center tonight to see what's causing the problem.'
Is it also possible that the ESP system is drawing too much air into the fuel, causing it to sputter or something similar?

Okay, a quick question: What's the status of the fuel lines now? Are they broken again, or have they been repaired? What did you do in the latter case? What was the cause of the break? I suspect that you might not have installed the clamps between the fuel injectors correctly, or perhaps not at all. I'm also experiencing a similar issue, but I think it's due to the missing clamps. This causes the fuel lines to vibrate too much, leading to a break. The clamps certainly reduce the vibrations. Or at least dampen them to a more 'tolerable' level.

I would like to check the mounting screws of the ESP/console.
Even a slightly loosened screw can cause the console to vibrate, which can then lead to damage to the wiring.

Hmmm... actually, I don't think so. A non-integer fixed ESP (Electrical Submersible Pump) would cause a shift in the injection start time, which I can completely rule out!
'However, today I also realized that the NBF (neck breaker flange) wasn't 100% secure. At least, after the blockage was cleared, it seemed to simply detach from its bore. Perhaps that's an additional cause. In any case, the NBF should now be secure, and the clamps are also in place. We'll see...'
