@ rainer
I inquired with ***, and they said that the target boost pressure is approximately 150-200 millibars higher than in the standard configuration.
Best regards,

Okay, thanks! That puts your values right at the limit...

Would you still suspect a faulty charger or the VTG (vehicle terminal gateway) in that case?

I would get in the car and check the boost pressure values/air mass values, as well as how the system regulates itself. Ideally, I'd do this with someone who knows what they're looking at.
Best regards, Rainer.

Hmm, I would do the same! But try finding one from VW that has the expertise to handle it.
Just got off the highway, and I'm experiencing power loss again despite having a new mass airflow sensor. Well, it seems more and more likely that the turbo is the problem.
Best regards,

Okay, here I am again.
After a long back-and-forth between the dealer, me, and both VW locations in Wolfsburg and *** (the control unit has now been updated with the original software), someone from the factory was there yesterday.
Conclusion: The turbocharger is being replaced now, and I'm curious to see if this drama will ever end...

Okay, the turbo has been replaced, and the car is running better than ever!
VW will acquire 100% of the turbocharger, and I'll probably have to pay for part of the installation.
I would also like to mention that the company *** has proven to be a very reliable and competent partner in this matter. (The reversal of the performance enhancement for troubleshooting, as well as the subsequent re-application of the performance enhancement, were carried out free of charge and without any problems).
Best regards,
Jens
