I wanted to say something else about the current review process.
It's true that not everyone should be writing 'nonsense.' My opinion is that I only shared it as I was told, and since I didn't know any better, I naturally thought it was correct. However, if I hadn't written that 'nonsense,' I might still believe it to be true. So, I can only learn better by addressing a false claim (which, to my knowledge, is correct) or by asking questions. I'm happy to gain insights, because that's what I think a forum is for. Since my experience is still limited, I was hoping to 'expand' it here.

Hi Holli,
Your story seemed similar to that in some ways.
As Rainer already wrote, we don't want this to become a collection of nonsense.
To ensure this, a slightly more "direct" approach is probably the only thing that will work in the long run --> nip it in the bud.
It is impossible to completely avoid some newcomers feeling "intimidated" or "discouraged" by this.
If you want to benefit from this forum (and perhaps contribute in some way at some point), then don't take it personally right away... Gruß Ulf

Hello,
Okay, as Ulf already said, don't take it personally. If you're having a problem with your car and receive useless advice, or even worse, browse through a collection of useless tips, you'll quickly become frustrated.
The value of such a forum diminishes to almost nothing, so please only write what you are certain about.
Best regards, Rainer.

Good day, everyone.
I thought it might be better if I just asked my questions here and hoped to get them answered.
'First and foremost, I'm concerned about the intercooler issue. In my Golf with the AFN engine, an oil film repeatedly forms on the temperature/pressure sensor in the pipe leading from the intercooler. As I mentioned, I've already removed and cleaned the intercooler and its pipes. However, I'm worried that I couldn't remove all the oil deposits from the intercooler. I've seen similar problems on MAN buses. In those cases, with almost the same symptoms (loss of power, smoke, and increased oil consumption), the intercooler and possibly the turbocharger were replaced. From the answer I received regarding the size, I gathered that it might not be so bad if I install a larger intercooler.'Since the original VW long-life coolant is quite expensive, I could potentially use a slightly larger long-life coolant, for example, from a MAN 'City-Liner,' without it negatively affecting the engine. (?)
Secondly, I'd like to know if it would be advisable to install an additional oil cooler. I'm experiencing oil temperatures of around 105-120 degrees Celsius on longer journeys. As far as I know, that's probably a bit too high. The oil is cooled via the water circuit, although I can't imagine that water at around 100 degrees Celsius can actually provide effective cooling. I still have the original oil cooler with hoses and everything from a Golf I, and I was wondering if it might be possible to install it if it would make sense.
