Hi,
I tried working on a Galaxy TDI this weekend.
to clear the error memory (indicated by a flashing heating element).
Okay, I have a problem now - the GALAXY isn't letting me...
Do not answer!
WHY???
Is it something special?
So far, I haven't experienced any problems with SEAT, VW/Audi, or Skoda.
had!
I am grateful for any advice.
Olli.

Hi,

This error description is roughly equivalent to: "My car is broken, what could be the problem?"
You need to provide us with a little more detail. Which diagnostic tool are you using, and what are the error messages?
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,
If the filament is flickering, simply clearing the error memory won't fix it. You should first address the underlying cause. Tschüss

The filament is flickering because I'm using a 10-cent piece.
I gave it too much power during the tuning.
The diagnostic tool is called 'VAG-COM,' and the message is...
It says that the device is not OBD-2 compatible!
Okay, here's the translation:
Thank you.

The OBD2 capability has nothing to do with VAG-COM diagnostics!!! The 1Z model was also not OBD2 compatible, but VAG-COM still worked perfectly.
Have you possibly replaced the original car radio with a different one? If so, your radio is likely causing a short circuit on the data bus, which makes it impossible to perform a diagnosis!
If you remove the resistor after the failed 10Ct tuning, the blinking should stop! If it doesn't, there is a defect that needs to be resolved first! Gruß Bertil

Hi,
That sounds good!
The 10-cent tuning is working well so far, and...
The blinking has stopped. However, I would like to...
Let's connect the GALAXY to VAG COM and I think that...
You seem to be doing well with the radio - this is a SONY.
installed. Now it's just a matter of finding the correct PIN!
Do you have any other good tips?
Thank you.
Olli.

Hi,
Try disconnecting the cable from the radio completely, or remove any adapters that might be connected. If it works then, the problem is with the radio itself. If it doesn't work, the cause is somewhere else.
If you've determined that the issue lies with the radio, you can proceed with troubleshooting. Essentially, the radio only needs a constant 12V power supply, 12V power when the ignition is on, a ground connection, and an antenna (although that's a separate component). If you don't have a CD changer or a motorized antenna, everything else can potentially be disconnected.
Best regards,

Hi,
You must have the original radio in the car in every case, because from a certain production year onwards, the radios are "married" to the on-board electronics and pass through the diagnostic bus signal. Therefore, the diagnostic system does not provide a response.
Unfortunately, I am not currently at work (I won't be back for another 14 days), so I can't provide you with more specific information right now. Gruß Bertil
