My driver's seat wobbles almost imperceptibly, but it's still annoying (especially during braking or cornering). I took it out once and discovered that it's apparently impossible to replace either the rollers (which are riveted/pressed in) or the rails (which are welded).

"With my old AJM, I once complained about this issue, and the invoice then stated 'Longitudinal adjustment, front left, attached' and 'Front seat removed and reinstalled' for a total of DM 68.60. It was quiet for 5000 km before the problem started again. I don't want to go through that again this time; I've already tried tightening the screw for the longitudinal adjustment – without success."

I was wondering if anyone has any other tricks before I try gluing some (probably not very durable) rubber to the rollers.

In addition, the left seat cushion squeaks like an old spring mattress when driving over bumps; if anyone has any tips on how to fix this, please let me know...

P.S.: The Highline model has the height-adjustable sport seats.

I'm joining this discussion and would also appreciate any tips, as my Golf is experiencing the same annoying issue.

"dito" is a Spanish word that means "same here" or "me too." It is often used in online conversations and text messages.

Here are some examples of how "dito" can be used:

* "I'm so excited for the concert tonight!"
* "Me too! I've been looking forward to it for weeks."
* "Dito!"

"Dito" can also be used to express agreement or support. For example:

* "I think that's a great idea."
* "Dito!"

In some cases, "dito" can be used sarcastically. For example:

* "I'm so happy to be stuck in traffic."
* "Dito."

Overall, "dito" is a versatile word that can be used in a variety of contexts. It is a useful tool for expressing agreement, support, or even sarcasm.

Hello everyone!

It seems that no vehicle on this platform is spared. My A3, and also my wife's Golf4, have the same problem. It's particularly bad on the A3 (3-door with easy-entry) icon_evil.gif.

Alex.

Our company's vehicles also didn't experience this issue after around 80,000-90,000 kilometers.
In some areas, the rubber coating is peeling off, for example, on the storage compartments in the center console, and in one case, the left speaker only works intermittently.

Unfortunately, I don't know how this was solved in the Golf 4.
"On the Golf 3 and 2 models, there were white sliding rails in the seat tracks. These often broke. I personally know of wobbly seats on my Golf 2 and 3."
However, with these models, the sliding rails can still be replaced.

That would really annoy me...! You're driving relatively new cars, and then you encounter these kinds of teething problems...!
My bus turned 15 years old this year, and I haven't had any problems with things like that so far *fingers crossed*.

And it's incredibly annoying! But are they childhood illnesses? More like design flaws...

"White sliding rails are no longer available, and the only solution seems to be to replace the seat subframe; however, this doesn't guarantee that it won't start wobbling again soon. As I said, I've experienced this with both of my Golfs. I get in and out of the car exactly twice every day, and I consider myself an average person, which is exactly who a Golf should be designed for. Grrr."

...or the expensive modification to install aftermarket sports seats (e.g., Scheel, Recaro) using consoles.
