Hat jemand eine gute Bezugsquelle für o.g. Fuel injectors?
I've obtained prices from Bosch and VW, and I have to say... is that a typo?
I am grateful for any tips and suggestions!

The price differences compared to VAG are really enormous...
I still have one question... The AXG nozzles have an opening pressure of 220 bar. Can that remain the same if the old ones only have 190 bar?

Hello,
I've been running 205 injectors in my 1Z engine for the last 30,000 kilometers.
The transit time, from 2000 to 4000 RPM in third gear, has improved by 1 second.
Russians are not recognizable anymore.
The increased power output is roughly equivalent to using a 1 kOhm resistor. However, the 10-cent resistor caused more instability in the lower load range, while the nozzles did not. Gruss Oliver.

Another question about the nozzle replacement:
After all the mechanical work is completed, I need to inform the EDC (Engine Control Unit) that there are now different injectors. Measurement block 1 in the engine management system is used for this purpose, and the injected amount should be approximately 3-5 mg/R (whatever 'R' represents).
QUESTION:
Can I also perform this adjustment with a 1551, or is VAGCOM required?

I believe that...
You misunderstood something...
Measurement block 1 (regardless of whether using VAG-COM or 1551/1552) displays engine speed and actual fuel injection quantity.
(now incorrect), RWG measures voltage and coolant temperature - that's all.
You cannot adjust the nozzles through adaptation. To do so, the chip would need to be modified.
Best regards,
Rudi

@Blechman:
You probably mean adaptation channel 1, where you can completely increase or decrease the injection amount?
Based on my personal experience, I can tell you that an adaptation is not necessary (at least with the AFN 0.205 -> 0.216). However, a good chip with adjusted characteristic curves can still be beneficial.

Thank you for the correction; I meant adaptation channel 1.
An adjustment of the amount is urgently recommended due to the significant change in nozzle size from 0.184 to 0.216.
Please provide an accurate answer, taking into account the exact specifications (1Z, 0.1 bar more boost pressure, 0.216 size, no chip tuning).
So, to reiterate:
Is it possible to make adjustments using a 1551 device, or is VAG-COM more suitable?

Both options work, it doesn't matter which tool is used to set it.
The question is whether this is necessary. Depending on the opening pressure of the old/new injectors, it's possible that the engine control unit may even need to inject 'more' fuel at idle than before, and the displayed injection amount may then be even larger.
Personally, I would rather adjust it by repositioning the quantity setting mechanism and reserve the adaptation feature for fine corrections due to wear.
Best regards, Rainer.

Thank you for the helpful answer, Rainer!
The opening pressure remains the same (190), otherwise I would experience a delayed injection process and would likely have to compensate for it.
I'll just wait and see how he behaves with the new nozzles... it's possible that no adjustments will be necessary.

Most likely, you wouldn't experience any shift because the injection process starts within a standard cycle (sensor = NBF).

So, dear community!
It is done...
The nozzles are in place, and I can only say WOW!
This renovation was definitely worth it!
Here are some facts about the car:
- Intake passages de-restricted.
- Increased boost pressure by 0.1.
- Injection time slightly extended due to signal distortion from the flow control valve.
- Soot emissions are not higher than those of any modern diesel engine.
- Suit: WOW!
After assembling the engine, I didn't even need to bleed it. I just drained the bleed lines, and after 8-10 seconds of cranking, it started. I put the bleed lines back on and went for a test drive.
I've noticed that it sounds louder when idling (meaning it's knocking more), but it's within acceptable limits, and an untrained ear wouldn't even notice it.
