Hello fellow diesel enthusiasts,
Here is the story of my struggles with ASV.
New car -->> 50,000 km, VTG (vaneless turbine geometry) malfunction -->> replaced turbocharger, EGR valve, and catalytic converter under full warranty.
After several attempts to adjust the VTG, the original responsiveness has been restored.
Then, at approximately 60,000 km, a new mass airflow sensor was installed with a 70% warranty coverage.
At 75,000 km, *** chip installed... everything is great

.
Yesterday (at 100,000 km), I was on the highway... full acceleration in 5th gear -> (100% throttle), then a quick release of the throttle (0% throttle), followed immediately by acceleration again (approximately 90% throttle). In short, a rapid load change from acceleration to deceleration to acceleration.
Result: Emergency mode due to overboost -> meaning my beloved

VTG is starting to stick again.
Okay, so I'll be tinkering again over the long weekend (cleaning the rods and re-lubricating them with copper or silicone paste) and hoping everything works again.
I just wanted to vent my frustration.
Keep up the great work!!
Greetings from Lake Constance.
Tobias.
