Hi.

Why do the Delta/Delta 6 devices have two antenna inputs? Can they simply be connected together?

"Furthermore, it seems there are two different versions, Delta and Delta 6. How can you tell the difference between the two types?"
As far as I know, only the Delta 6 can play self-burned CDs, right?

Jep, ist mir klar dass das Delta zwei Tuner hat, doch das haben andere Radios auch und trotzdem nur einen Antenneneingang. Zwei Antenneingänge machen wohl nur Sinn, wenn man auch zwei Antennen hat. Die habe ich bei einem Golf aber noch nie gesehen. That's the question.

Technical specifications for the Delta 6 are easily found at VW, but not for the Delta. As far as I know, the only difference is the software version (the Delta has more DSP modes, and the Delta 6 can play CDs that have been burned). Surely, there must be a way to identify the difference through the part number, but how? And are there any other differences?

Both players definitely play CD-Rs. However, my first Delta had trouble with CD-RWs, while the Delta 6 plays them without any problems.

According to my information, the Delta 6 has improved drive hardware. The Delta stopped playing CDs without errors altogether after about a year .

A radio with multiple inputs is a diversity receiver. It uses two antennas, such as a front and rear windshield antenna, and two tuners that select the better signal from each. The antennas should not be placed directly next to each other, otherwise the effect will not be as strong.
Some radios have multiple tuners but only one antenna input. In this case, the second tuner constantly scans the alternative frequencies of the selected station and selects the one with the best signal quality.
