Nachdem es die Firma
www.motorensuche.com (MKG Köln) nach 4 1/2 Wochen (angeblich 4 Tage Lieferzeit) nicht geschafft hat mein defektes Glühkerzengewinde instantzusetzen (nun mit Anwalt Zyko zurück
) möchte ich die Reparatur mit einem Helicoil-Montagesatz selbst durchführen. Nun my questions:
Is the spark plug thread a M10 fine thread (metric)?
Can this drilling be done freehand, or does it require a fixed drill with a securely clamped head (I think freehand is better because the drill bit follows the contour of the old thread; otherwise, the angle has to be exactly right?)? Thank you in advance... then I can finally get past a phase of a lot of trouble with my first TDI (especially with the cleaned intake manifold)
