Hello forum,

I want to build an adapter for my device from KW Systems.
Unfortunately, these connectors are for a Passat (older model with an 8-pin connector at the bottom of the fuel injection pump). I have a Golf IV with a 90hp TDI ALH engine (10-pin connector).
If I were to buy that adapter cable, I would have to pay a whopping 79 euros for it (highway robbery - it's just three plastic connectors and a few centimeters of cable).

Does anyone have any idea if these plugs are also available in other stores (in the Ruhr area between Essen and Krefeld)? I can do a little bit of soldering myself.

Can I insert photos here in the forum? Okay, I'll take a picture of the required connectors.

Considering the additional 120 euros for the registration (which supposedly can only be done through the company itself), I'm now seriously considering a 10-cent tuning modification.

Has anyone perhaps even installed such a device themselves? Due to the registration.

ALEX

Hello.
You can get those adapter plugs from any VW dealer.
1J0 973 735 Flat contact housing.
1J0 973 835 Flat contact housing.
and then you'll need the pins.
000 979 131 Sentence Single lines
000 979 134 sentences, single-line format.
and that will cost you 16.35 euros.

Now, I'm still missing the part number for the third connector that goes to the power box (if VW even makes that part, the employee at VW couldn't find anything suitable, just by chance).

Does anyone have a box from KW-Systems?
It is a four-pin connector.
(I really need to take some pictures and put them online.)

@deralex

We could swap; I have a 10-pin box.
It's approximately 6 months old and comes with an airflow meter!

My brother might need that 8-pin module. Or maybe it's better to just get a chip tuning upgrade.

Sure, here's the translation:

'cu' is a Spanish abbreviation for 'cuánto,' which means 'how much.' It's often used in online communication and text messages to ask for a price or quantity.

Hmm, the problem is just the cable.
KW Systems offers a kit for Passat, Golf, Octavia, etc. (only for vehicles with VE TDIs with 90 or 110 horsepower). So, I would really like to keep the device, but I can still return it. However, to try it out, I need to connect it, and that's not possible without this four-pin connector. icon_sad.gif
I wouldn't want to just send all this stuff by mail and then be surprised by what I receive. Don't take it personally, it's just too complicated for me, and I know that the KW box could be registered without any major problems if I wanted to.

Okay, no problem for me.
It was just a suggestion.
