Does anyone here know what the maximum continuous boost pressure this turbocharger can handle without extreme stress?

Currently, my AFN is running at approximately 1.16 bar. My desired pressure is around 1.3 to 1.35 bar, similar to what's found in the 130 hp PD models.
I tried it out briefly. It works well, but how long will my charger last?

Experiences?

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'cu' is a Spanish abbreviation for 'con usted,' which means 'with you.' It is often used in online communication to indicate that the sender is available to chat or talk.

Here is an example of how 'cu' might be used in a conversation:

Person A: 'Hey, I'm bored. Want to chat?'
Person B: 'Cu!'

This means that Person B is available to chat with Person A.

'Cu' can also be used to indicate that the sender is thinking about the recipient. For example, if Person A sends a message to Person B and then receives a reply that says 'cu,' it could mean that Person B is thinking about Person A and wants to connect with them.

Overall, 'cu' is a versatile abbreviation that can be used in a variety of ways. It is a common way to indicate availability, interest, or affection in online communication.

@KimR:

Okay, I wouldn't go significantly higher than what you've already achieved with the VNT15, which is 1.16 bar of overpressure. I unfortunately don't have any experience to draw on, but based on my gut feeling, I would only run the VNT15 with a maximum continuous pressure of 1.15-1.2 bar.

It would also be interesting to know how your boost pressure control system behaves dynamically, i.e., how high the overshoots are. Have you checked this using VAG-COM (measuring block 11)?

Regards,
Alex.

@donalexo

Okay, I've found out that the pressure is also up to 1.2 bar, and that's what I've been looking for so far.
I'm currently considering purchasing a VNT17/GT1749VA turbocharger.

Last week, I had an AFN with a defective VTG adjustment. It performed without problems above 2000 RPM, producing over 2500 mbar icon_eek.gif. I don't know the exact value, because the LD sensor reported an error at 2560: 'Short circuit to +'.
That is, of course, not good for the loader. But it manages icon_twisted.gif. But that obviously has an extreme impact on the load.

I can quickly create a VAG-COM log showing the LD (Longitudinal Dynamics) behavior.

Hello.

I've been using the VNT15 with 1.3 to 1.4 bar of boost (depending on the software) for a while now, and so far, everything seems fine. If you believe what you read in other forums, the VNT15 seems to be one of the most stable models used. The GT1749VA, on the other hand, are supposedly not designed to be overboosted for extended periods. The GT1749VB, which were used in the ARL engines, are said to be very stable.

Best regards!
