Hello,

I'm experiencing a rather peculiar problem with my Alhambra that has the 115 hp PD engine.
Sometimes the whole car shudders, similar to the pumping sensation in the 1Z, but in this case, it also occurs during acceleration.
I checked the error memory and found the following:

18074 Valve for pump/nozzle, cylinder 1 - N240, electrical fault in the circuit.

Since the error doesn't occur every 30km, I actually suspect that it's not the PD unit.
Does anyone know how I can check the cables?
Which pin on the control unit corresponds to cylinder 1?

Thank you in advance!

Hello!

Let me guess - it's an AJM, right? icon_lol.gif

Since the error doesn't occur even after driving 30km sometimes, I actually think it's not the PD unit.

I wouldn't guarantee that, because there could also be a problem with the connection terminals of the solenoid valve.

Does anyone know how I can check the cables?

Okay, take off the valve cover, and you should see more; the hoses should be connected to the PD elements.

Or, which pin on the ECU corresponds to cylinder 1?

Okay, I'm a bit unsure about this; possibly remove the control unit and look for four identical power amplifier stages (usually large semiconductor components on heat sinks or housings/circuit boards). Then, trace the circuit paths and, for safety, check them with an ohmmeter.

Best regards,

no, is that the way?

I've now replaced the fuel injectors and will observe whether the problem moves around. If it doesn't, then it's either the control unit or the wiring harness.
