Hi Ya!
Around the middle of the year, I experienced a major engine failure (AFB: V6 TDI 110 kW). After pleading, begging, insisting, and even threatening, Audi eventually agreed to replace the entire AT engine completely free of charge. (and I saved almost €9,000).
Now that I've switched workshops due to several instances of carelessness, I'm hearing different things about the following topics:
Workshop A says: You only receive a warranty (like on any replacement part) from Audi for goodwill repairs IF you pay at least SOMETHING towards the repair. If you received 100% of the repair as a goodwill gesture, there is no warranty.
This makes sense to me so far, as I haven't received an invoice that shows the goodwill amount (previous invoices always had a 'k' before it

).
Workshop B now claims that, despite a new issue arising with the AT engine (oil pan leak) after approximately 15,000 km, I should still be covered by the warranty if I could provide the invoice. However, I don't have the invoice, so I said... They responded, 'We need to quickly coordinate with the car dealership,' but that there would still be a warranty even without me having paid anything extra.
Does anyone know how to do this, or does anyone at Audi know someone who won't just refer me to my local service center (like the nice ladies at the hotline) and can actually answer my question?
Regards,
Felix.
