HI,
Is there an official nut for the triangular head screw of the VP37?
The technical article on disassembling the MSW recommends building it yourself using a size 7 nut.

Hi!
Are you absolutely sure you need that specific type of nut, or would you like a tip on how to remove the screw? I'm not sure if that kind of nut exists.
As far as I know, there are three possible options for the screw.
1. The method described in the article for modifying a 7-series nut.
2. The exact opposite: You carefully grind down the rounded parts of the screw with a Dremel or similar tool, transforming it into a hex screw. Then, a regular socket wrench will fit. Admittedly, it requires some delicate work.
3. Use the Dremel to cut a slot into the screw, then use a sturdy flathead screwdriver (possibly with the help of pliers) to unscrew it. A tap on the screw will make it easier to loosen.

Well,
Ideally, I would like to get the part out and back in without using any machining, sawing, or other methods that involve material removal.
Therefore, the question arises: where can I find a genuine nut?

Hello,
Why put it back in? I chewed out the slot, removed the screw with a flathead screwdriver, and then replaced it with a standard hex screw. Why do you want to reuse the screw?
Bye.
Max.

Hello,
Set screws with triangular heads are standardized (DIN - I'm sorry, I can't recall the exact number at the moment) and are commonly used to protect 'ex-d' enclosures from unauthorized opening. (What is an 'ex-d' enclosure? 'ex-d' refers to explosion protection achieved through a pressure-resistant casing; these enclosures are very common in the chemical industry, such as at companies like Bayer and BASF.) The corresponding wrenches are available in any good hardware store under the name 'Ex-tools' as tubular wrenches with a triangular profile.
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

How do you know that Würth has it?
Do you even have an order number?

Sorry, T3Surfer says they are available at Würth, and since I also work in the automotive industry, I know who Würth is, and I just wanted to provide you with a link.
Since I don't want to leave you hanging , I've done a little more searching. I no longer have a catalog from Würth. There's nothing in the Hazet catalog. There is something in the Hahn und Kolb catalog, but I don't know if it's what you're looking for, based on what I found.
Go to hahn-kolb.de, under "online-shop," then "test access," and enter "52170" in the search bar. It doesn't cost much (probably between €2.30 and €4.30, excluding VAT), if it's what you're looking for. Aktuell:

Thank you, Tom.
You can find these triangular crimping tools by searching for "52170*".
I don't really trust them, though.
And sorry for not reading carefully who wrote what.
