Hello, fellow DIY enthusiasts.

Using VAG-COM, I read the measurement block 13 on my Passat 3B TDI / AFN to get an idea of the general condition of my injectors, and I'm getting the following values: cylinder 1 -0.30mg, cylinder 2 +0.14mg, cylinder 3 -0.09mg, and cylinder 4 shows no value at all. Should this concern me, or are the values for the first 3 cylinders measured in relation to cylinder 4?
I've now reached a good 234,000 km, and I wanted to have everything checked to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
Any other tips on what I should be aware of?

Thank you in advance.

Don't worry, everything is fine as it is. The VP 4-cylinder engines show three values, the 6-cylinder engines show five, and only the PD engines show a value for each cylinder. A search will reveal why this is the case!

Keep up the good work accumulating those kilometers!

I have a 4-cylinder engine that also shows four values. It's probably just a matter of the engine control unit (ECU) version.

Generally speaking, for a single-cylinder engine, the display shows the difference compared to the reference cylinder. For a 4-cylinder engine, it displays the value for the third cylinder, and for a 5-cylinder engine, it displays the value for the fifth cylinder.

The difference from the average value is displayed when the number of measured values is equal to the number of cylinders.
