028 906 021 GN Steuergerät - compatible alternatives for AFN

Hello Foriker,

After many discussions on this topic in various threads, I'm very interested in the specific topic mentioned in the title, as I have exactly this control unit in my bus. The reason is that the control unit is supposedly "chipped" with the original VAG chip and has also been modified. I don't know whether it happened through software or hardware, or if it was even possible. I haven't opened it up yet either.

Regarding the issue: The power development is enormous from the lower RPM range. The turbo also engages extremely early. Now, some people might say that's good, but for me, the lifespan of my modified T3 gearbox is now more important than a huge power increase. I would therefore like to replace the modified control unit with an original one.

Getting the exact GN is not so easy, and now I was wondering if anyone of you could tell me which ones are fully compatible... especially regarding the clutch and the 2nd brake pedal signal for GRA! The GN is going for +12V, while others are focusing on mass.

für den Preis eines gebauchten AFN Motorsteuergeräts rüste ich Dein STG gerne auf Original zurück
Wenn Du noch etwas drauflegst, dann gibts sogar ne sinnvolle Anpassung fürs Busgetriebe. Es ist absolut kein Problem, das Drehmoment recht plateuförmig bei z.B. 240Nm zu halten. Damit wird nix überlastet und gelichzeitig geht der Bus im oberen Drehzahlbereich wesentlich besser als original.

Hallo,

hab mir jetzt das gleiche Steuergerät nochmal beim Auktionshaus gekauft! Jetzt macht mir die WFS Probleme! Bei meinem jetzigen Steuergerät wurde die WFS deaktiviert (weiss aber nicht wer oder wo ... war schon beim Kauf so)
Ich dachte jetzt jedes GN Steuergerät hat keine WFS ... Irrtum!

Da ich nicht die Chips umlöten möchte, muss ich mir wohl ein WFS Steuergerät und die dazugehörigen Schlüssel mit Transponder besorgen. Muss ich da noch auf irgendwas achten, oder kann man jedes WFS-Steuergerät an das Motor Steuergerät anlernen?
