ABS Sensors for Golf 3

Hi!
To keep it short and sweet! G3 MKB->AFN, 1997, Disc brakes, Rear
I suspect that the ABS control unit has failed because both rear ABS sensors are showing as "present" and are also repeatedly appearing. When I replaced the rear brake discs, I saw the mushroom-shaped, worn-out sensors and immediately removed them with a hammer, as it was much easier that way!
Now that my budget allows, I want to buy 2 new ones, and the VW dealer is quoting €74 per piece!!! Well, I don't know... even the supplier says 50€ + fairytale tax...

Okay, let's move on to the actual question. Can't I just install the sensors from the G4 or something? They cost a fraction of the price, just solder the cables on and it's done!! I looked at some pictures and I thought that they should fit perfectly from the mounting (they look the same physically)!! Unfortunately, I don't have the dimensions at the moment! According to Autodata, the resistance values are the same... Maybe someone has a spare sensor (G3 HA sensor -> G4 HA sensor) and could compare them. Regarding the connection, I don't worry about it; we all know that the sensors also hold well


Okay, one more thing about the history! I bought the car two years ago and never had the chance to test the ABS, until just recently, when I realized that it wasn't working at all. The key thing is that the warning lights had burned out, and that's why I never noticed it before. Basically, the lights were always on (presumably because the previous owner had a problem), or they were replaced because they were defective, whatever the case may be...

I don't want to spend €150 just to find out that it was actually the STG...

Maybe someone has a tip for me.

Dann "lehn Dich zurueck, akzeptiers und denk Dir: na gut"

Entweder, Du willst ABS, dann musst Du halt alles tauschen, was "hops" ist.
XOder es gleibt, wie es ist.

Die Lampe bewusst gegen ne defekte zu tauschen find ich persoenlich ziemlich bescheuert.
Wenn ich kein ABS will, fahr ich Fahrrad.

Also, wegen die andere Sensoren kann ich nichts sagen. Bei 3,2,1 gehen die richtige Sensoren recht günstig weg. Da beide Hinterräder, hast du überhaupt den Geber-Kranz auf die hintere Scheiben, oder sind die Dinger weggegammelt? Kein Kabelbruch? Brennt der Lampe immer, oder erst beim fahren?

nicht er hat die Lampe deaktiviert, sondern sein Vorgänger. Komisch dass er noch Tüv bekommen hat. Bei Kontakt an, muss der Lampe kurz leuchten und wieder ausgehen. Bei eine Fehlfunktion kein Tüv. Auch Virus_b hätte es so leicht merken können, dass etwas nicht stimmt.

Das fällt kaum auf. Mir ist der Sensor mal drei Tage vor dem TÜV Termin ausgefallen
und der Teilehöker konnte erst in zwei Wochen wieder liefern -> Lämpchen raus und
alles war gut! ...

Hä?? und warum fang ich mit den Sensoren an um den Fehler eingrenzen zu können?? Wie gesagt waren die so vergammelt das sie definitiv nicht mehr funktionieren konnten(plasikmantel am eisenkern fehlte und dieser war völlig vom rost zerfressen und aufgetrieben)!

Suche halt ne preiwerte Variante weil ich nicht für einen Meter Kabel 40€ zusätzlich auf den Tisch legen will!

Die Kränze auf den Scheiben habe ich in weiser vorraussicht beim scheibenwechsel gleich mit neu gemacht, bekommt man eh nicht so runter das sie noch funktionieren!

Von Egay halte ich nicht so viel, hab schon zu viel sch*** erlebt da...

Und ich muss wie gesagt erstmal die sensoren neu machen, weil keine mehr drin sind, dann kann ich weiter sehn!
