Hello!

Can someone tell me how to change my service interval using VAG-COM?
I've only had the diagnostic system for a short time. icon_rolleyes.gif
It's completely new territory for me icon_wink.gif.
I would like to reduce the service interval from 30,000 km to, for example, 20,000 km.

Hello Winschi, searching for: Technical articles - Technical data - Service intervals for VAG - icon_idea.gif

edit: In my version, there's a great feature in the menu called "Service Reset."
The required channels 40...45 are automatically running.

"Thank you!"

But I don't quite understand how it all works yet.
The Touran is not listed in the table, but I assume it will be the same. icon_rolleyes.gif
I don't even know which channels I need to edit.

Wow, I need to connect to the VAG system and take notes first.
But if you've already switched to the fixed 15,000 km setting using the buttons on the instrument cluster...
Why actually 20,000? Either a fixed interval based on mileage, or an indicator for long-life service.

Yes, I've read through the service plan.
My Touran 1.9 TDI is due for its longlife service, and I want to schedule it.
15,000 km driven (confirmed by a sales representative).
That's enough for me, as I'm not a frequent driver.
As mentioned before, this is completely new territory for me, as I used to drive a Golf II until recently icon_lol.gif.

The user manual explains how easy it is, so you don't even need to use LL oil.
certainly, but PD. 50501 5W40.

I have now reset the service using Vag-Com, but before resetting, channels 43 & 44 were available. After resetting, when I accessed the channels, I received the message: "Error not available" - icon_confused.gif icon_eek.gif WHY?????

but you can still check later what's currently programmed, right?
Okay, for example, 15,000 and 360 days.

Yes, I can read that. I now see nothing on channels 43 & 44. I have reduced the time until the service from 744 to 360, and the maximum mileage to service on that channel from 300 (x100) to 150. I have also changed the oil quality from 2 to 1. icon_lol.gif

If you switch to a fixed interval, you no longer need to provide any values.
The days and the 15,000 km countdown are sufficient; all other values are then irrelevant.
