"Today, I drove approximately 120 km on the highway and experienced the emergency mode function a whopping 5 times. This always happens when driving at full throttle. The LDA (likely referring to a pressure sensor) then reads 0.8 bar and suddenly drops to 0.1 bar, causing the car to enter emergency mode."
The error code read from the vehicle's computer indicated a faulty engine control unit (ECU), with intermittent issues related to the intake manifold pressure regulation.
Der Saugrohrdruck-Fehler ließ sich ohne Proleme löschen, der Fehler STG defekt ging erst nach dem 5. VPlease proceed.
I also removed the motherboard and saw that the intake manifold pressure sensor is additionally glued with silicone. Is this how it's supposed to be, or isn't it normally held in place by the three solder points and the four plastic feet?

The car is a 1997 Volkswagen Golf 3 TDI with an AFN engine. I forgot to mention that.

Normally, it's done without silicone.
Solder joints checked?

It seems normal. In my case, it appears to be an exception. Audi A6 Avant 4B 2,5l TDI AKE

The internal map sensor is secured with (usually white) silicone.
