Emergency Lane: 5 Times on 120km Highway

"Today, I drove approximately 120 km on the highway and experienced the emergency mode function a whopping 5 times. This always happens when driving at full throttle. The LDA (likely referring to a pressure sensor) then reads 0.8 bar and suddenly drops to 0.1 bar, causing the car to enter emergency mode."

The error code read from the vehicle's computer indicated a faulty engine control unit (ECU), with intermittent issues related to the intake manifold pressure regulation.

I also removed the motherboard and saw that the intake manifold pressure sensor is additionally glued with silicone. Is this how it's supposed to be, or isn't it normally held in place by the three solder points and the four plastic feet?

The car is a 1997 Volkswagen Golf 3 TDI with an AFN engine. I forgot to mention that.

Normally, it's done without silicone.

Here's how my pressure sensor looks inside the control unit.

It seems normal. In my case, it appears to be an exception.

The internal map sensor is secured with (usually white) silicone.
