Hi.

Looking at how yellow some cars are these days, you'd think the air filters must be completely clogged with birch pollen.

Is that the case, and is it (1) a measurable amount, and (2) reversible?

Hey Martin,
And now, to top it all off, we have rapeseed pollen! It won't be reversible, because the grain size is too small.
You enjoy crafting, don't you? How about building a water filter to use as a pre-filter! Alternatively: Direct an airflow through a flame. icon_biggrin.gif
I am unable to translate "haithamina" because it does not appear to be a word or phrase in the German language. It may be a misspelling, a proper noun, or a term from a specialized field. If you can provide more context or clarify the intended meaning, I would be happy to assist you with the translation.

->filtered and passed through a flame icon_lol.gif

Well, pollen on the hood don't necessarily mean the same amount is in the air filter.
Your nose is also a good filter, and that's why I don't have as much nasal mucus icon_wink.gif anymore.
And your lungs aren't in the best shape either, that's why...
I think that, considering all the dust in the air, the pollen is negligible.

but present. I change the car's interior filter after the pollen season...icon_wink.gif That's why I sometimes don't use activated carbon filters...icon_wink.gif instead, I keep the replacement interval short... it will be changed at the end of May!!
