Gas Delivery Unavailable

"I've been having problems with my Audi A4 1.9 TDI 130 hp, manufactured in 2003, with 145,000 km on the clock, for the past 9 weeks. I've had to be towed by the ADAC (German equivalent of AAA) twice. Suddenly, it stops responding to the accelerator, the diesel warning light comes on, and then the ESP light also starts to light up or flash. It can still idle, but it won't accelerate. The diagnostic scan indicated a faulty accelerator pedal sensor 1 and 2. The entire accelerator pedal was replaced the first time. It worked fine for 8 weeks, then the same fault reappeared. Now, there's also an error code related to the brake light switch, which has also been replaced. Yesterday, the same thing happened again: a sudden loss of acceleration."
Where else could the error be?

It's possible that the only remaining option is to check the wiring.

The brake and clutch pedal switches should be checked for proper switching function, and it's a good idea to wiggle them to see if anything changes. Both switches must change state simultaneously.
Even a "new switch" might not be positioned correctly.
Perhaps the problem wasn't with the gas pedal, but rather that the connector was loose when someone was fiddling with it.

Yesterday, I drove 2km away from home and then slowly drove back, so I haven't received any error codes yet. I'll be taking the car to the workshop on Monday. I picked up my car. There were no error messages stored. On Monday, the control unit will be removed and inspected, and the relevant connectors will be checked. Hopefully, that will help. It occurred to me that it always rained when the problem occurred.

'My friend had a similar problem once. The solution was a slight amount of moisture in the throttle body/ECU connector. We just dried it out with a heat gun, and it's been fine for almost 5 years.'
The problem, among other things, is that the e-Gas operates with a very high impedance. This means that even minor influences in the wiring/connectors can lead to such errors. Incidentally, I spent a lot of time trying to find the problem and found nothing - the guided troubleshooting process apparently doesn't detect water .
Okay, so maybe first try drying out the connectors and then see what happens.

A week ago, the control unit was removed, and all the connections there and at the pedal switches were checked and reconnected. Currently, it is working again . It should stay that way, otherwise it will be replaced with a new one.
