Hello, does anyone know if the GRA (Gear Range Adaption) retrofit is compatible with the steering column control unit?
1k0953549BB
I can't find that exact part number online; there are only other similar ones. The car is from 2006 and doesn't have a Multifunction Display (MFA). Someone is selling a control unit with cruise control on eBay. The question is, does the installed control unit support the cruise control installation, or does it need to be replaced? |

hello matthiasTDI96!
Okay, so I have a Caddy from 2005 with MFA (multifunction display), and I bought a GRA (gear ratio adapter) lever from my local dealer for about €58. He told me that the "Leksäulenstg" (I'm not sure what this refers to) would need to be changed! And that there was no option for this on my Caddy, blah blah blah. I just took the GRA, installed it, and activated it, and it's been working perfectly ever since.
if yours doesn't have an MFA, and the one you bought from eBay has a steering column lock, then I'm sure mine works. golf 3 1z '94- 2009 402000km

Hi, thanks for the feedback! Apparently, Cady has been running for a long time, just like you did! |

I would have looked here:
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Cruise_Control_Retrofitting_%281K%29
Unfortunately, that's not included in the BB.
I still have a BC (Business Communication) module left, which covers MFA (Marketing, Finance, and Accounting) and GRA (General Business Administration), but not MFL (Management of Financial Logistics), which is why it was discontinued.

Well, Martin, I had the same problem back then. The BB (presumably referring to a specific product or component) was something exotic that you couldn't find at that time. Nowadays, you can find information online saying that it's not available. I, however, have a real-world counterexample at hand . |

Highlight...
I also have a Caddy GRAifizierung scheduled.
Do you need to run a cable to the MSTG?
What's the point of CAN and all that other stuff?

For two modified Cadillacs, the additional cable was already installed. When you need to replace the LSG (Lane Stability Group), make sure it is compatible with the steering angle sensor. I had a problem with a Caddy before, where the steering angle sensor reported an error with the address 00. |
