Hello,
I received an offer for glow plugs, but unfortunately, it states that there are two different thread sizes (M4 or M5). Does anyone know which thread size is used in a 1994 Golf? I need to order them soon, but I won't have access to the car to check beforehand.
Thank you and best regards.

Hello,
How much do the Klühker candles cost?
I recently replaced mine; I got 4 pieces for 50 euros each.
The thread of the glow plugs is M10 * 0.5 (fine thread) for the 1Z engine.
Hi TDI-Seppl,

Hi TDI-Seppl,
I didn't mean the regular glow plugs, but the three afterglow plugs that warm up the water.
Regards,
Maik.

Hi Maik,
IMO, M4 or 5 likely refers to the electrical connection, which could possibly be adjusted if necessary.
The thread size for spark plugs is likely to be around 10 mm.
If both options are the same, just order them.
They should probably fit into the water trap... Gruß Ulf
