I always thought the PTC heater was directly integrated into the Climatronic system.
Was ist denn jetzt anders? War es früher (MJ06 im 3C) getrennt?

Updated in November 2006.

Previously, it was an external TCU (Transmission Control Unit). Later, two relays (for low/high heating) were used, which were controlled by the engine control unit.
