Hello,

After sealing the fuel injector, I'm now unsure about how to adjust the injection amount.
I measured it twice before, and once it was about 3.5 ml/reading, and later it was around 4.2 ml/reading.

After the sealing, I noticed a decrease in performance, specifically around 3,400 RPM, and I believe the car is running slightly worse.

What is the VW specification?

Hi,
According to the specifications, the value should be between 2 mg/stroke and 9 mg/stroke in the lower limit (LL), with the engine warm and under no load. Based on experience, a target of 4-5 mg/stroke is recommended when the engine is idling, as indicated in technical articles. A lower value indicates an overly rich mixture, which can promote engine misfires. My new AT ESP device shows readings of 4.2 - 4.4 mm/stroke.

Thank you, Herbert.

Then I will move it again in the MSW.

I'm still puzzled by the different readings I obtained, which I measured with a one-week interval as mentioned above.
It seems that, aside from the fluctuations observed during the measurement, reproducibility is not very good.
However, everything is already old and worn out.

I had the idea that the jerking at low RPMs might be reduced by decreasing the fuel injection amount.
I can also confirm the driving experience; there's virtually no hesitation at 1000 RPM with approximately 3.5 ml of oil per cylinder.

Are you definitely talking about the 1Z engine with 90 horsepower?

Hi,
ich meine den 1Z mit 90 PS, sh. Signature.
"If the displayed injection quantity decreases, the actual fuel injection amount increases. You see an electrical value corresponding to the deflection of the throttle position sensor. When it's set rich, less deflection is needed, meaning a lower display reading."
If you're not experiencing any hesitation, then the 3.5 mg/stroke setting is fine. The engine doesn't run significantly worse with this setting; it just responds a bit more aggressively at low load or during acceleration. With uneven cylinders, the LLR (likely referring to a specific control or sensor) will need to work harder.
Achieving a target value within +/- 0.5 mg per injection requires time, multiple attempts, and a sense of feel. You might be able to make adjustments through adaptation.

Okay.
I learned that less is more.

Okay, I'll just leave it as is for now, before the new insulation causes any problems.

Post Scriptum.
Why did you have to install a NEW AT VP?
