USB Driver Issues: Asus Laptop Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
The software and driver install normally. However, when I plug in the interface, I get a constant tone and a blue screen (the computer crashes). I've also tried installing the driver manually, and it does install. But the same problem keeps happening: a buzzing sound from the laptop and a blue screen.
Regarding the laptop: Asus U36S with an Intel Core i5 2410M processor (2.3 GHz), 8 GB of RAM, a 63-bit operating system, and running Windows 7.
The interface works without any problems on all other computers. Unfortunately, the batteries in those other computers are dead, which means I absolutely have to use this laptop.
Does anyone else experience this problem, or does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?

Before updating the BIOS, I would first update the ASUS USB device driver (according to ASUS, it's different for U36SD and U36SG models). I only recommend using a Windows-based flash utility like the one from ASUS for BIOS upgrades in emergency situations, as some laptops have become unusable afterward. The system's instability is already evident with the crashes experienced when using the VCDS interface.
Unfortunately, ASUS doesn't provide any information about the release dates of individual drivers or their history.

There is a specific driver available for the "problematic" USB 3.0 chipset.
So far, I know fewer people who have experienced this specific problem than I have fingers on one hand. Therefore, this special driver should not be included in the regular release, as it could cause problems on other computers.

At least driver version 3.5.36.0 for the Fresco Logic FL1000 should be installed!

The following procedure (workaround) offers an alternative way to achieve the desired result:
- Install VCDS-RKS version 11.11.3, and do NOT leave the diagnostic cable connected to the computer.
- Plug the diagnostic system into a USB 2.0 port.
- In the Control Panel, under "Programs and Features" (or "Software"), uninstall the Ross-Tech driver package.
- Install the "special" device driver; you will receive a private message with instructions. Customers can request this from us here.

Please first test and post the exact USB chipset being used, along with its driver version.
