Ibiza 6L: Unlock Rear Seat Backrest

Does anyone, like the professionals, know how to disassemble the rear seat release mechanism without causing any further damage ?
According to the law of maximum frustration, I was unable to fold down the left side of the back seat today when I needed to load a large box.
The release button normally engages with a pawl that secures the rear headrest to the body of the car via a wire loop. By pulling the button upwards, the pawl is raised by a rod, releasing the headrest. The rod is normally locked into the pawl. The locking mechanism on this plastic rod has broken off and needs to be replaced.

The upper backrest locking mechanism... hmm, you could try to pry everything apart from the top, or check if the bracket is possibly screwed to the body and not fixed. A professional replacement of the defective parts is probably only possible if you remove the seat cover and the fabric lining on the back.

That doesn't sound good.
The seam is sewn all the way around, so it would need to be cut open at the seam.
Then I'll start by using a large screwdriver to unlock .

It's possible to access the mechanics from the trunk side, which at least allows you to see any damage.

So, the back is quite solid, except for the slots where you can see the movable hooks. I don't think I can reach anything there.
I think there must be some trick to get to it from above.

I once visited a Seat dealership and saw 3 parts in the AKTE system.

- The handle, along with the faulty pull rod, is a component.
- Then there's the frame that surrounds the handle and provides the finishing touch to match the surrounding material.
-And some random clip that I can't make any sense of.

The master hadn't seen this defect before either, and didn't know how to take it apart. However, we also had little time because I was already running late.

Let's see, if I can't manage it myself, I'll have to audition again.
