Hello and good morning.

Are there any known instances of these faulty wiring harnesses occurring only in specific engines (e.g., MKB - BKD), or does this issue also extend to other engines, such as mine (MKB: AYH)?

Thank you very much.
Sure, here's the translation:

It's likely that very few people here have worked on V10 TDI engines.
But I don't see why the same thing shouldn't happen there. It's unlikely to be any better just because it says "V10" on it...

Hello...

Yes, you are right, but let's rephrase the question like this:

V10 = yes, and there are already enough cars with two R5 engines and vans equipped with the R5 TDI engine driving around.
Are there any experiences with the R5 models? They seem to be the same components, just used twice.

Sure thing! Please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation without any explanations.

Hi, I'm also having the same problem with the wiring harness on my BRD. This is already the fourth one installed. It seems to fail almost every year when it gets cold. I constantly check the part number in the system to see if anything changes, but it doesn't look like it will. Apparently, the wiring harnesses don't handle "extreme" cold very well...

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"MFG" stands for "Mit freundlichen Grüßen," which translates to "Sincerely" or "Best regards" in English. It is a common way to end a formal letter or email.
