Hypothesis: The DPF warning light will appear...

| 1) By observing the value "Particulate filter; oil ash mass", one could clearly demonstrate that the "Dieselgate update" causes such a significant increase in soot emissions that it means "more work" for the DPF. |
Since the value is only increasing very slowly and, in addition, the
additional ash resulting from more frequent regenerations or increased consumption leads to faster ash(!!! Ashes ≠ Smoke) The filling material, therefore, would require a very long breath.

| 2) Does the engine control unit store any data from which the frequency of regenerations and thus the average distance between two regenerations can be determined? |
However, in the measurement blocks, for example, you will find the value "Kilometer since last regeneration". But it is also only conditionally meaningful.
In principle, the amount of ash produced is proportional to the amount of fuel/engine oil that is burned, as well as the quality of the fuel/engine oil (i.e., the amount of non-combustible residue that is produced). Whether this results in 1x (little soot per km) or 10x (a lot of soot per km) after 1000km is initially irrelevant:
The DPF doesn't really care whether the ash particles are already present in the engine during combustion or only form during the soot burning process in the DPF.
