Hello,
I read the technical article "Forced regeneration of particulate filters in VAG TDIs using VCDS" and, as a result, I wanted to find out the loading level of the particulate filter in a Sharan 7N.
I'm only getting "n.v." displayed for MWB 108.

Hello,
Okay, why don't you read the article again?
Especially the point " Forced DPF regeneration 1.4l/1.9l/2.0l/2.5l PD TDI".
Where's your diagnostic scan tool, or are we supposed to guess what's wrong with the engine? I'm guessing it's a PD-TDI.
Best regards, Rainer. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Rainer Kaufmann - dieselschrauber VCDS Shop

Hello Rainer,
Sharan 7N with PD?
It's a 2.0 CR engine with 170 horsepower. That's why I went directly to the 2.0 CR section.

You can find the value for oil ash content in the 300 range, or use the search function at the top and type in "oil ash" or "DPF." A value of 0.17 indicates that it is considered full. The quantity refers to "au l", so the maximum amount is 175ml.
A car scan like this can always be helpful. You're probably talking about a CFG(B).

"Your engine might be too new; I've updated the article accordingly."
Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate.

Should be max. It should be from the year 2012, after which the 170 model was no longer produced. |

Is it a 2011 model with engine code CFG? |

It's a CFGB... the last letter makes the difference in this case. It was replaced by the CFGC at the end of 2012 and, after the "extensive" facelift (and Euro6 compliance), by the CUWA. Interestingly, all of these engine codes do not have AdBlue exhaust aftertreatment in the Sharan, Tiguan, or Passat (although I'm not entirely sure about the CUWA). Therefore, the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), and the pipe that follows it with its flexible section, looks different than it does in the platform brother (referring to a similar vehicle model). |

I don't understand Volkswagen's model policy. "All Sharan models have AdBlue, while other models do not."
"What does that mean?"
a) In other cases, they have managed to obtain the required measurement values without using SCR.
b) In the case of the Sharan, they went directly to modern exhaust treatment technology, perhaps because they wouldn't have been able to achieve the required emission levels otherwise? |

Well, you don't have it like that either, do you?
The Sharan is simply much heavier and larger. In my opinion, the only thing that's surprising is that it's the same MKB [presumably referring to a person or entity]. |
