Are there any experts who could write a custom dataset for an old engine control unit (ECU) for a reasonable fee?
Specifically, it's about an Audi 2.5 TDI AEL (5-cylinder engine).
Okay, I would write something like a specification document (you could also call it a "wish list"), and then the knowledgeable person would write a modified data set onto a suitable EEPROM based on that.
I would base my analysis on the original data as read from the MSG.
The wish list is not extensive and is more aimed at adapting the engine to new environmental conditions (e.g., installation of a different engine, as would be the case with the AEL) than at increasing performance.
The memory modules in the MSG are originally socketed, so no soldering is required.
The modifications do not need to be legalized, and TÜV (German technical inspection agency) compliance is not required.

No, I want adjustments to the mapping for the EGR system and the turbocharger boost pressure. Furthermore, a slight increase in the fuel injection volume in the lower RPM range and above 4000 RPM might be considered, along with shifting the rev limiter to higher RPMs.
What I exactly want still needs to be discussed.
