Hello, I would like to replace the dampers on my Audi A3, which has the standard sport suspension, because the current ones have 122,000 km on them. I am very satisfied with the handling (a little less understeer would be nice). I definitely don't want it to be lowered, and I certainly don't want that "wider, lower, harder" look (or however the saying goes)! I only want to change things that make technical sense. So, I've been doing some research. Bilstein is supposed to make very good dampers, and I was thinking of combining the standard springs with the B6 sport dampers. After all, what could have happened to the springs in recent years? Bilstein says that everything has been tested, and there should be no problem with the tuning. Also, the swaying in fast, long curves on the highway should disappear, the body roll should be reduced, and the comfort should remain the same or even improve due to the better dampers. Sounds good, right? The cheapest price I could find is €369 (normal price €510) + installation. What do you think? icon_question.gif

There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but I'm skeptical about whether it offers significantly more comfort.
