CAN Bus Car Scanner: RKS+CAN Troubleshooting

Hello there...
Today, I wanted to try reading data from two vehicles in our company fleet using the cable mentioned above: a Fiat Ducato from 2012 and a Peugeot Boxer from 2009.
"Neither of them can be read. I then tried it on other vehicles, but unfortunately, without success."

Am I doing something wrong? The software is definitely installed.

Hi,

OBD2 via CAN-Bus is mandatory for passenger cars starting in 2008. The vehicles you mentioned are not passenger cars Personal cars and likely still use the K-Line for diagnostics.

Why don't you try it on a car manufactured from 2008 onwards, as stated in the product description for the RKS+CAN.

You also need the right expertise to use VCDS. While you can read OBD data (emissions-related errors, things relevant for the inspection) from vehicles made by other manufacturers, you can't access the individual control units. At least, that's been my experience with the cars I've tried it on.

This is not VCDS, which I also own. I also cannot use it to read out the data from the vans, but I am aware of that.
