Hi, Schraubers,
I am currently in the process of removing the valve guides on our Audi TDI 1Z with 270,000 km (engine head is removed). In the process, one of the valve guides has been damaged (it is uneven due to the clamp pressure)

. However, the valve fits perfectly. Is it bad if the valve guide is slightly uneven in the upper area?? Shouldn't that have little influence on the valve movement or

Furthermore, the crankshaft seal is located above it.
Unfortunately, I don't have a specific "patent" method for removing these annoying shaft seals on the TDI. How do you manage to get them out? Do you use a specialized tool like a "Hazetzange" or a "Matrawerkzeug"? With the good old TD, at least you could remove the seal along with the valve spring retainer and then knock it out from the outside
Maybe it's time to put a new head on the LL? Well, never change... Furthermore, we all want to know how long something like this lasts
Thank you in advance
