Hello everyone,
'Can anyone tell me which injectors I need for my ALH engine to achieve more power? I mean, from which engine type, possibly with a part number? And does anyone know the prices for those? Is it enough to just replace the injector nozzles, or do I need to replace the complete injectors?'
Best regards,
Stefan.

Hi Stefan,
I would probably start by trying nozzles from ASV.
Bosch part numbers and prices should be available through the online catalog.
For a set of nozzle (holder) combinations without the possibility of returns, you should be prepared to spend approximately 1000 euros . Gruß Ulf

Oops, 1000 Euro? Da kann ich ja die Düseneinsätze von kw-systems nehmen, die kosten nur 499 Euro und sind speziell für den ALH-Motor entwickelt!!! OdWhat do you mean?
Best regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
AFAIK, the KW nozzles are universal parts for all 66 kW TDI engines.
At least the ASV nozzles fit "perfectly" with the ALH pump, because they are the same. Gruß Ulf

Hello,
I'm completely new here and don't know anything about this chat feature. I hope I don't mess anything up. It would be a shame, because the discussions here are on a really high level.
Regarding which injectors to use for the ALH engine:
'I've been using injectors from the ASV engine in my ALH for 2 years/60,000 km. They are a better option than injectors from the AFN/AHF engines because they are optimized for EU3 emissions standards. Additionally, I have adjusted the EGR system via channel 3.'
My experience: generally, lower fuel consumption with comparable performance, problem-free driving behavior, and a noticeable increase in power.
Furthermore, this measure is validated through test bench experiments (peak pressure, smoke number, etc.), so there is no need to worry about its lifespan.
Regards,
Ole.

Hi.
How about the power consumption display?
Due to the now inappropriate pump characteristic curve, you should actually be seeing a fuel consumption reading that is too low (compared to the refueling amount) . Gruß Ulf

Hi Ulf,
I adjusted the fuel consumption display to the maximum possible 15%. This isn't quite enough to compensate for the increased fuel injection volume. There's still a discrepancy of 0.2 to 0.3 liters per 100 km, which is the difference between the displayed consumption and the actual consumption. You can adjust this by reducing the amount through channel 1, or you can simply live with it.
Regards,
Ole.

Hi Ole,
Yes, I thought so too.
Thank you for your confirmation. I have updated the nozzle replacement article accordingly. Gruß Ulf
