Hello,

Unfortunately, there is only one entry so far. Therefore, I have decided to move this to the forum for other topics.
What do you think of instead of a 'Workshop Problems' forum, a professional article with some tips on what to pay attention to?

Hi Rainer

that the workshop forum "failed" is, in my opinion, due to the fact that there are "too many highlights" offered here - and workshop frustration is one of the least pleasant things . . .

By the way, I plan to completely move all my "Tips & Tricks" from the error database into a format specifically designed for authors.

The error database should, from the IMO's point of view, primarily include only what is already present in the existing system: recommendations for dealing with problems that occur on a large scale.

What do you all think about it?
Gruß Ulf

Hello Ulf,

yes, a categorical sorting of the error database would not be harmful.
Some entries will likely be borderline cases, such as the one regarding DIY rubble removal assistance.
Finally, it fits both under the technical articles and in the error database, as it can indeed fix the 'unstable idle' error.
Suggestion: Use the 'Shadow Topic' option.

Who actually goes to the garage? icon_wink.gif No, but seriously. The topic is too broad. A suggestion would be to create individual topics for the inspections (1st Inspection, 2nd Inspection). What needs to be done (should be done), what is the technical background, and where can it be checked. Frequently asked questions are, for example, Longlife, timing belt, oil, etc. This would help beginners (and that's who we should be addressing) much more than specific problem solutions. If they wish, there is also plenty of further information available here.
