Hello fellow diesel mechanics,
I'd like to briefly introduce myself, as I'm new here.
I am 22 years old and I come from Saxony.
I enjoy working on my own cars myself, as long as the repairs aren't too complicated.
The vehicle in question is a VW Caddy 9kv, first registered in 2003.
It's a 1.9 SDI engine with 64 horsepower.
The engine code is AYQ.
Now, let's talk about the problems this good person is facing.
Unfortunately, the vehicle doesn't have enough power.
When you encounter hills or inclines, the speed immediately drops, and you inevitably end up shifting into second gear. Need to change gears.
Even on the straightaways, progress is rather slow.
I know you can't expect miracles from an SDI, but this definitely isn't a solution.
Overtaking maneuvers are NOT permitted.
Of course, I've already looked into the matter.
What has already been checked or replaced?
Engine wiring harness: checked, OK (Bosch service).
Engine control unit: replaced (as a precaution).
Relay 109: replaced.
Fuel pump: checked, OK (Bosch service).
Fuel shut-off valve: replaced (Bosch service).
Injection timing: set, but misadjusted.
Valve timing: OK.
Various suppliers: checked and approved (by an independent automotive workshop).
AGR valve: checked and in good working order (by an independent automotive workshop).
Diesel filter: replaced (independent auto repair shop).
Intake air temperature sensor: replaced.
The car was at Bosch for 3 days, and they are equally baffled.
Perhaps someone else has a tip or idea about what it could be?
Best regards from Upper Lusatia.
