Volvo T5 VCDS?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently selling my Audi A4 TDI because we've moved to a place located on a mountain. I need an all-wheel drive vehicle.

I was able to get a Volvo for the family, a V50 T5 AWD... from 2010 with 100,000 km.

I'm now worried that I might not be able to use VCDS anymore, and also whether gasoline car owners are welcome at a diesel mechanic's shop .

Does the funct vcds also work with Volvo?

Hi,

You can use the OBD-II button in VCDS, or KOBD2Check. However, KOBD2Check only provides basic diagnostics and not as in-depth information as you get with VAG models.

Why shouldn't it be that way, especially since there's a section called "Gasoline Engines - Engine Technology" where you write?

My father also has a V50 from 2009. However, a D5.
I was just trying to access the vehicle's systems using VCDS via the EOBD2 interface, but it didn't work.
VCDS reports after a few seconds that a connection cannot be established.

Then he should probably use KOBD2Check instead...
