Airbag Control Unit Replacement: Incorrect Index?

Hello everyone, in a 1999 Caddy, the airbag control unit was replaced because the error memory indicated a defective control unit.
A control unit with index number AE was installed.
Now, one has been acquired with the index BL.
The control unit has a different coding, but unfortunately, I don't have a login code, and VCDS doesn't offer any suggestions either. The error code 00589 - Igniter 1 for passenger-side airbag (N131) doesn't appear with the old control unit. Can anyone tell me if it will work even with the different index if I recode it?
