Error code P1115 is a manufacturer-specific error code that is set when either the measured voltage (output voltage) at the coolant temperature sensor or the intake air temperature sensor is too high.
Due to electrical wiring, faulty temperature sensors or damaged cable bundles to the respective sensor are usually the cause.
The engine control unit cannot set the correct operating parameters without the correct engine temperature or intake temperature. This results in increased fuel consumption and reduced performance. Sometimes, there may also be starting problems.
