Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with my Audi A6 C5, 2.5 TDI engine (BDG), 163 hp.
The a6 suddenly shut off while driving, and this has happened before. It starts up again, but not always normally. I read the error codes with VCDS at home, and the error message is 0550, "fuel injection control, 27-10, implausible signal, intermittent." I've already replaced the diesel filter with the valve.
Replaced temperature sensor. Cleaned mass airflow sensor.
"There are no air bubbles in the transparent tubing. Do you have any idea what might be causing this?"
The electronics in the fuel injection pump often fail in these engines. Other potential sources of error could be the power supply from the engine control unit (look for relay 109, which may have a different name in your vehicle).
