Hello everyone, I replaced the AGR valve (original VW) and performed the necessary adaptation procedure on my 2.0 TDI Octavia 4x4, year 2014 (engine code: CKFC), due to a "low flow" error.
Unfortunately, the error reappears approximately every 200 kilometers.
Please help. Thank you.

Hello Luki,

The EGR system needs assistance from the exhaust gas cooler (hot gases have a lower mass per volume than cold gases) and the throttle valve (which reduces the intake of fresh air) when there is a high proportion of exhaust gases in the air being drawn into the engine.

If the ECU's fault memory doesn't show any other errors, there's a high probability that either there's a simple blockage in the EGR system or, for example, the exhaust cooler isn't cooling the exhaust gases effectively.

It's also possible that there's a leak in the intake manifold after the mass airflow sensor (MAF), where fresh air is drawn in, such as a cracked bellows in the crankcase ventilation system.

Ultimately, there can also be measurement errors from the mass airflow sensor (MAF) due to a defect or damaged wiring harness. You can easily test the MAF using an actuator test in VCDS, as the engine's displacement is known. -> Without EGR, the MAF should measure approximately 460-500mg/H of fresh air at idle.

KOBD2Check indicates that your ECU has outdated software, as it lists 04L906021EA with software version 8126 as the latest available.
Keep this in mind in case nothing else works. I'm not very likely to think that the problem is caused by the software.

Best regards, Rainer.
