A6 4F Drive Select Settings

Hello everyone,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to quickly acquire a "new" Audi A6 (4F C6 [Quattro] from 2010) because my old C7 is no longer working.

I would now like to adjust the steering to be a bit firmer, and possibly also the engine, similar to how it was possible in my C7 using the Drive Select feature.

After reading quite a bit of information about it online, I only ever found explanations for the A4 and A5 series. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing about the A6.

For these models (A4/A5), the coding is entered in the "09 Central..." "BCM1" control unit.

My problem is that I can't see a control unit with the name "BCM1" using VCDS. It doesn't appear in the 09 menu, or anywhere else. However, there is likely a similar module available for my A6, as it is also offered under that name on the INET platform.

Does anyone have a tip or trick for me, or is there a guide for enabling the Drive Select feature in an A6 4F? It would also be sufficient for me if I could code the steering and, if necessary, the engine to be statically stiffer (set to Dynamic).

In the scan, your BCM 01 is displayed as control unit 09.

Make sure to do a scan beforehand so you can reset everything if needed.

Hello Michael, and thank you for the quick response.

I proceeded exactly according to the Project_ADS guidelines.

But unfortunately, under control unit 09, I only see "ILM Driver," "Wiper Audi C6," and "RAIN SENSOR H04."

I have tried this with both VCDS version 17.1.3 and VCDS version 24.7.1. I would have also liked to test it with my old VCDS versions 10.6.4 or 11.11.4, but I can't establish a (CAN bus) connection to the car with those versions.
