Passat 3B Headlight Vibration: Troubleshooting Guide (Solution)

Headlight vibrates.

Cause:
In some vehicles, vibrations in the headlights can occur due to insufficient securing of the headlight units.

Solution:
The vibrations can be corrected by the following measures.

Loosen all screws and realign the entire headlight assembly so that it sits flush against the bumper. Tighten the lower screws first, then the upper screws. After tightening the screws, the alignment can be easily checked by inserting strips of paper between the bumper and the headlight.
Checking the engine mounts and suspension to reduce engine vibrations.
